Start with the exact pet entry

Check the pet’s name, photo, category and round. Similar names and several photos of the same animal can send supporters to the wrong entry. Open the link as a new visitor would and confirm that it reaches the intended ballot.

A gallery page may list every entrant while the entry page contains the voting action. Share the direct entry when it is available, with a recognisable picture and the exact name shown on the ballot.

Separate free ballots and donation options

Some organisers offer a free ballot alongside an official paid or donation mechanism. Others do not. Read the actual contest’s terms and use only the organiser’s authorised route where a donation is part of voting. Do not imply that a third-party quote is an official contest donation.

Also check whether the public tally determines the winner, selects a shortlist or awards a separate people’s-choice prize. A large public count cannot establish a jury result.

Prepare the request and follow the round

Milo’s photo is in the local pet calendar’s public-choice round. If you like the entry, here is the official voting link: [link]. Voting closes [date, time and zone]. Please follow the steps on the contest page. Thank you!

This is a sample, not a real contest or customer result. Add any confirmed frequency or email-verification instructions. Avoid sharing private owner details or unrelated information about children in the photograph.

Note the count and observation time if totals are public. If a new round starts, check its rules and link before reusing the message. Use the calculator only when raw vote counts are meaningful for that round.
